In some educational systems, children are required to study one or more foreign languages. In others, foreign language study is not a requirement. What are the potential benefits of foreign language study? Do you think foreign language study is an important part of education?

It is essential for children to learn about foreign languages in some schools; however, it is not much emphasized in other schools. Studying a foreign language offers numerous benefits to the learners, and I believe that in today's modern education system, it has become an important part of school curricula.

Among a number of advantages being offered by alien language study, the major one is that it enables students to get more opportunities upon entering in the job market. To be more specific, nowadays, most of the employers tend to recruit those who are proficient multilingual over unilingual. Apart from this, by learning a foreign language, individuals can survive easily in other countries when they would travel for study, business or any other purpose in future. If they will have enough knowledge of another language, they can effortlessly interact with natives of the host country making it easy for them to understand the local culture and make adaptations accordingly. According to me, integration of foreign language study in contemporary education system has become quite important. The reason behind this perception of mine is that it gives the beneficiaries an extra edge over others. Having knowledge about an alien language stands the learners out among all their competitors. Not only this, but current trends of globalization also require youngsters to be fluent in languages other than their native ones as there is a need to travel worldwide for businesses or studies. It would not be easy for children to survive in future if they would have lack of multilingualism. Therefore, most of the schools, these days, emphasize foreign language training in order to produce more skilled and valuable workforce for the time to come. In conclusion, to learn foreign language increases the work prospects for the learners, and I restate that foreign language's inclusion to school curriculum is need of the hour due to its potential benefits.
